Well.....the paint on the house is damn near dry, still a little tacky on the porch, but with today's warm breezes we'll be fine! The new signs are up on all the fields, and looking good. (I think we now have more old signs on the back fence than current field signs, but the kids will have more things to paint!!!!) Plus all 3 scoreboards have been replaced and upgraded with a special coating for 'dry erase' markers!!(Make sure you get the dry erase from the new Kitchen Nazi, Danielle!)
Eddie left town this morning. We have completed all the corrections to the 25th Anniversary Calendar, and it is in final edit even as my fat little fingers fly across the keyboard! We do find ourselves a little short of the $250,000 goal in the Capital Fund Drive, but Michelle is working feverishly with the Obama Administration on our own little Bail Out Package. (Not to worry! The United States Government may have to take over control of the League...but Ms. Virginia Bryant, Esq. and Mike Carrolan,Esq., have both stated that their is no way they can screw it up more than me!)
Shaun Puzio is completing plans on the playscape upgrades as we will be adding some new and exciting things......can some one say.....tire swing? We also look to have new seating installed on Chance Field. I'm trying to get alot of this stuff done before the federales get on board.....they seem to want to take a more measured (slow) approach to capital improvements!
Kelly has been working on the website even as he continues he academic career. I keep telling him he can turn it in as extra credit....you know get that C+ up to a B-....it'll look good on the resume!!!! We do hope to have the rule book on the site soon, and expanding and improving the pro shop. (Craig, I hope you were finally able to order the 25th Anniversary shirts!)
Now I must get back to the yard work. (Hey do you guys have any problem with the League paying me $24.75 per hour for the manual labor I put in on the campus grounds?)
