Right. Cinematographer = camera. I missed that part. : )
Bonus question: What's the guy on the left called?

Thanks for the question, Ginny. We should have made that more clear. Mike is on the right -- he's holding the camera.

Which one's Mike? I"m sorry for his passing, nonetheless.

Thought you all might enjoy this blog entry from Mike's website...

2007 July: Streetgames NYC
We started shooting this documentary in Madison, WI covering the Stoopball of America World Series. Believe it or not, this facility was situated in the middle of a cornfield, the three backstops defined by 8′ high stalks of corn. While taking a large portrait of all the participants, I was coming down off a tall step ladder when a fledgling swooped down and landed on my mattebox. Steve Oakley caught this image of bird and mattebox.

Well, Lars and Matt are editing this documentary (on New York streetgames, by the way). they’ve started a blog to help build audience for this title.

Pretty interesting, many very passionate rememberers of their childhood streetgames. I personally remember playing softball/baseball in my neighborhood. We were fortunate, lots of kids in the ‘hood and a ballfield at a small private school down the street. summertime was a ball, literally.

He got it. He got us. Mike was the highight of the visit by the film crew. His patience, grace and agility navigating the 2nd floor bathroom window to shoot the championships will remain with us forever.
